Bespoke Steel Doorset at Old Street Station

A people-focused project brought by Weston Williamson + Partners and WSP, Old Street underwent a huge revamp in 2024 and Metador was thrilled to contribute our bespoke steel doors to the project!

The whole transformation, which encompassed the roundabout and station, was a very complex project, improving public space and biodiversity.

City Academy Bristol

Dulwich College

Dulwich College is a world-renowned educational institution founded in 1619, located just a few miles from the centre of London. When a replacement doorset was required for their flagship Laboratory complex, the Metador Defender Inox was a perfect fit.

My Brighton Hotel

The My Hotels Group operates high-end boutique hotels, with branches in Bloomsbury, Chelsea, and Brighton. The award-winning design of each hotel incorporates a distinct local flavour with sustainability. My Brighton, the Brighton branch of My Hotels, was opened in 2008 and is a collaborative design between local creatives and esteemed New York-based designer Karim Rashid.

Croydon Tramlink Depot

Every year, more than 29 million passengers use Transport for London’s tram service, with the network’s heavily populated depot located in the south London borough of Croydon. As one of the world’s busiest commuter networks, Transport for London are responsible for running the service on a day to day basis and are committed to investing in protecting and safeguarding both employees and users.

Caernarfon Search and Rescue

Operated on behalf of HM Coastguard, by international aviation service Bristow Group, Caernarfon Search and Rescue is home to state-of-the-art helicopters equipped with the latest search and rescue technology. The base covers vast land and sea areas across Wales and the North West of England, including Snowdonia and the Irish Sea.

Wernick Buildings Ltd

Wernick Buildings Ltd were tasked with finding a new modular sleeper unit that was both durable and strong enough to provide security reassurances for short term festival accommodation. As Wernick’s primary steel security door manufacturer and supplier, we were asked to design and produce a new bespoke doorset to suit a 65mm wall thickness.

When Lloyd’s Register needed to upgrade the fire protection within their iconic London headquarters, they turned to bespoke solutions that respected both regulation and architecture.
