If your door is sticking or failing to close correctly, please follow these steps:

1. Check for obstruction in the frame, hinges or door leaf
2. Verify the installation, ensuring the door is plumb, level and square. The gap between the top of the leaf and the frame head should be consistent.
3. Confirm that the frame is securely fixed and has not shifted. Check that the leading edge is clear of the frame on closing. Look out for any paint damage on the frame (this could indicate fitting needs adjustment).

Please provide us with as much information as possible, including your door serial number, order reference and photos/videos where applicable.

For surface scratches, we supply a touch-up pen in the matching RAL colour, which can be used to efficiently repair minor blemishes on site.

For larger or more significant damage, please report the issue to our customer service team and include photos and/or videos, along with the order reference. We will advise on the best course of action.

Many adjustments can be made to hardware items as part of regular maintenance.

Each Metador door includes a silver door label, located on the hinge side of the door leaf. This label contains the door serial number, which allows our team to access the door specification and provide specific information, such as the factory-installed hardware.

Where necessary, a quotation for replacement parts can be provided.

If the label has been removed, please provide any other relevant information, such as:

• Project name
• Order reference number
• Door type or dimensions
• Physical door stamping, found on each frame component and the hinge side of the door leaf

Our team will use this information to identify the door and advise on the correct parts.

To maintain the finish and performance of your Metador steel door, we recommend:

• Regular cleaning with soapy water
• Polishing and waxing using good-quality car shampoo and wax to prolong the aesthetic life
• Inspecting hinges, locks, and seals regularly for wear or damage
• Lubricating moving parts where necessary

Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvent-based products, and high-pressure washing, as these can damage the finish.
