That’s exactly what the Defender Duopar was created for. A two-part wraparound frame design crafted from 2.0mm steel to incorporate a modern architrave profile with fully concealed fixings. An unobtrusive yet effective rubber seal around the perimeter provides a soft-close effect, and an excellent barrier against noise, dust and smoke. Each frame is bespoke built to order, allowing total flexibility of structural opening sizes, wall depths and configurations.
Duopar steel frames offer many benefits over traditional wooden door frames. Finished with super smooth and consistent powder coatings, they provide the highest resistance to knocks and chips from heavy usage. Any standard RAL colours are available in matt or gloss finish, in addition to a huge range of special effects such as concrete, stone or woodgrains.
As standard we couple the Duopar frame with our flush-edged steel doors. Hard-working and long-lasting, these are folded from 1.5mm steel and can be offered with a full range of vision panels, locking options and ancillary ironmongery. Ideal for use in high-traffic environments such as retail, warehousing, and healthcare.
For the ultimate aesthetic, we can also team Duopar frames with timber doors. Flush chipboard door cores are finished with real wood veneers or laminates of your choice, available in 44mm or 54mm thickness. Concealed hardwood lippings are applied to all 4 edges as standard. Hinges, locks and seals are factory fitted. Other options include vision panels with contrasting or matching beadings; air transfer grilles and concealed door closers. Supplied fully-finished with all hardware fitted and working, Duopar doorsets are best installed right at the end of your project: after the walls have been decorated and floors laid, minimising any chance of costly damage by other trades. The fully adjustable frames clamp around the substrate and will accommodate variations in wall depths and openings, requiring only minimal sealing to complete.
