This important initiative aims to save lives and protect properties by raising awareness of the critical role of fire doors, how to maintain them, and what to check for fire door safety.

The theme for this year’s campaign, which runs from 25 – 29 September, is ‘Recognise it, Report it’ and aims to help people spot problems with faulty doors so they can be reported, then repaired or replaced.

Worryingly over half of the UK public (according to Fire Door Safety Week) couldn’t spot a problem with a fire safety door. This statistic highlights the lack of public awareness and the potential fire risk that may be apparent due to fire door issues not being reported and doors not being fully maintained.
