Terms to accompany the opt-in form for architects submitting feedback on Metador CPD sessions.
The promoter of this prize draw is Metador, trading from its usual business address. For any questions about the prize draw, please contact Metador using the contact details provided on the CPD feedback or opt-in form.
The prize draw is open to architects and architectural professionals who are UK residents aged 18 or over and who complete the Metador CPD feedback form during the relevant monthly entry period.
Employees of Metador, their immediate families, agents, suppliers, or anyone professionally connected with the administration of the prize draw are not eligible to enter.
To enter, eligible participants must complete and submit the Metador CPD feedback form and opt in to the prize draw by following the instructions on the form.
There is no purchase necessary to enter. Only one entry is permitted per person per monthly prize draw. Duplicate, incomplete, automated, bulk, or fraudulent entries may be disqualified.
Each monthly prize draw opens at 00:01 on the first day of the calendar month and closes at 23:59 on the last day of that calendar month, unless otherwise stated on the feedback form or associated promotional materials.
Entries received after the closing time for a monthly entry period will not be included in that month’s draw but may, at Metador’s discretion, be included in the next monthly draw if the promotion is still active.
There is one prize of £50 available each month. The prize will be provided as a voucher, bank transfer, or other reasonable payment method selected by Metador and confirmed to the winner.
The prize is non-transferable and no alternative prize will be offered, except that Metador reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside its reasonable control.
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the relevant monthly entry period. The draw will take place within 10 working days after the end of each monthly entry period.
The type, content, sentiment, or quality of feedback provided will have no bearing on eligibility for the prize draw or the entrant’s chances of winning.
The winner will be contacted using the contact details submitted on the feedback form. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, Metador reserves the right to select an alternative winner at random from the remaining valid entries.
Feedback submitted through the CPD feedback form may be used by Metador to review and improve its CPD content, presentation, follow-up materials, and related services.
Metador may contact entrants about their CPD feedback where reasonably necessary to clarify responses or follow up on comments. Any separate marketing communications will only be sent where the entrant has provided the appropriate consent or where Metador has another lawful basis to do so.
Metador will process entrants’ personal data for the purposes of administering the prize draw, verifying eligibility, selecting and contacting the winner, awarding the prize, and reviewing CPD feedback.
Entrants should read Metador’s privacy notice for further information about how personal data is used, the lawful bases relied upon, retention periods, individual rights, and how to contact Metador about privacy matters.
If the opt-in form includes a marketing consent option, that consent request should be clearly separate from these terms and conditions, use plain language, and allow the entrant to make an active choice.
Metador may request permission to publish the winner’s name, organisation, and general location for transparency and promotional purposes. The winner may object to this or request that the amount of information published is reduced, unless disclosure is required by law or regulation.
Metador reserves the right to refuse entry, disqualify an entrant, or withhold a prize where it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached these terms and conditions, acted dishonestly, or attempted to manipulate the prize draw.
Metador is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, incomplete, or not received for any technical or other reason outside its reasonable control.
Metador may amend, suspend, or cancel the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so for reasons outside its reasonable control, provided that this does not unfairly disadvantage entrants who have already entered.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Subject to that, Metador will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting the prize, except where caused by Metador’s negligence or breach of legal duty.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
This draft is intended as a practical starting point and should be reviewed by a suitably qualified legal adviser before publication, particularly to confirm the promoter details, privacy wording, eligibility criteria, and prize-draw mechanics.
