Our newly tested EI30 steel doorset delivers certified fire resistance where it matters most. Successfully tested to BS EN 1634, it will provide both integrity and thermal insulation, limiting temperature rise on the unexposed face for up to 30 minutes and preventing the passage of flames for up to 60 minutes.

Designed for critical life-safety areas such as fire escape routes, the European EI Standard ensures protection against flames and excessive heat transfer. Rigorously tested, these fire doorsets will offer proven, dependable performance you can specify with confidence.

+ E Rating (Integrity Only Fire Doors)

Success under BS EN 1634 is defined as no sustained open flames or specific gaps on the non-fire side of a door under test.
Does not consider radiation or heat transfer; the unexposed side can still become dangerously hot, typically reaching temperatures in excess of 900°C, preventing the use of potential escape routes and posing a high risk of flammable materials combusting regardless of direct flame exposure.

EI fire doors are tested with multiple thermocouples to measure the temperature on the non-fire side. No individual thermocouple is allowed to exceed 180°C and the average must remain below 140°C.
This level of performance is essential for escape routes and occupied buildings, allowing safe evacuation by limiting heat exposure.
