Our September Made by Metador winner was this impressive louvred Defender Safeguard double doorset, installed for a plant room in Middlesbrough.

Expertly fitted, this steel doorset allows for excellent airflow while providing durable protection for vital internal equipment — the ideal solution for plant room security where ventilation is essential.

Large Double Doorset

In October, the winning Made by Metador installation photograph featured a Defender Safeguard double doorset, finished in a powder-coated RAL 5003. Installed for a farm shop, this doorset stood out thanks to how seamlessly it integrates with the building’s façade.

B3 (SR2) Security Doorset with Decorative Finish

Our November Made by Metador winner goes to this standout installation of a Defender Xtreme 2 (B3 / SR2-rated) steel doorset, upgraded with Decorguard, for a residential premises on behalf of Harrow Council.

Featuring a louvred over panel and decorative groove door leaves and side panels, this double doorset delivers enhanced security while adding a touch of design to the exterior of the building, in line with the customer’s requirements.

A New Online Home for Metador Ltd

At the start of the year, we proudly launched our new website!

Fundraising for World Mental Health Day and Teesside Mind

To mark World Mental Health Day 2025, we held a fundraising event where our team came together, dressed in green, shared tasty treats, and made voluntary donations for Teesside Mind in support of mental health awareness.

Some of our team even rolled up their sleeves early this morning to make fresh juices for everyone, a refreshing reminder that small acts of care can make a big difference.

The show isn’t just a trade event, it’s a real hub for ideas and innovation. With over 40 talks, seminars and live sessions in the Design & Digital Solutions Theatre, the event offered loads of insight into what’s happening in the world of mental health facility design. From new digital tools to thoughtful product design, it was great to see so much passion and progress in one place.

What We Showed

At our stand, we showcased our latest steel doorsets, designed specifically for the healthcare sector. Built for strength, safety, and simplicity, they’re ideal for settings where durability and reduced-ligature design really matter. A lot of people stopped by to learn more, and it was great to hear how our products could fit into their upcoming projects.
